Open Position: Climate Tech Account Manager/Director

As we build our growing climate tech client roster into its own practice, we’re looking for self-starters who have strong communication skills, are dedicated to client service, and will positively contribute to our culture.

Job Description

We’re looking to hire someone who brings media relations and client management experience to become a valuable part of our team on the growing climate tech side of our business. Experience with tech startups, especially in the sustainability space, is preferred. You will be responsible for maintaining relationships with various clients day-to-day, while developing strategies to achieve their PR goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating and leading client projects and meetings

  • Performing media relations work for clients, including:

    • Pitching reporters and publications to secure earned media coverage

    • Coordinating press releases and client announcements

    • Reviewing and preparing interview prep documents

    • Serving as liaison between reporters and clients

    • Overseeing vetting process and preparation for events and speaking engagements

    • Managing award submissions

    • Maintaining media lists

  • Managing clients’ social media accounts

  • Managing climate tech’s account coordinator and intern

  • Working on projects with the team’s content strategist as needed

  • Brainstorming content ideas and assisting in developing blog posts, case studies, infographics, etc.

  • Assisting in the company’s business development efforts

Preferred Qualifications

3Points is a boutique agency and it’s imperative that each team member be adaptable. We ask for applicants to be committed, driven, and hardworking individuals who are willing to take initiative and responsibility no matter the task.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in PR, social media, marketing, or other related roles

  • Experience with and an interest in tech startups and sustainability

  • Experience in managing/leading specific projects or campaigns for clients

  • An appetite to learn new skills and an entrepreneurial mindset

  • An interest in attending industry events on behalf of 3Points and our clients, which may include domestic or international travel

  • Experience in content creation and/or graphic design

  • Familiarity with Google Apps (Gmail, Docs, Calendar, Sheets, Analytics, etc.)

  • A solid understanding of social media platforms—including Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, Instagram, forums, and wikis, among others

  • Available to start Spring (preferred) or Summer 2022
